National Fossil Day at South Florida Museum

national-fossil-day-at-south-florida-museumDig into education on National Fossil Day at South Florida Museum.

On October 1, 2016, talk with actual paleontologists and geologists about unveiling earth’s past. What used to walk above is now hidden underground, awaiting discovery.

From 10:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. enjoy examining fossil exhibits with your family, along with an outdoor dig for kids so they can find fantastic fossils. Additionally, the De Soto National Park Rangers will host the Junior Paleontologist Badge Program, a part of the National Park Service Junior Ranger Program as a way to connect kids to National Parks.

With reduced pricing, the admission charge is $9 for adults, $7 for kids, and $8 for senior citizens years 65 and above. Children ages three and under get in free. The “fossil-tastic” fun is located at 201 10th St W, Bradenton FL, 34205.

Participate in National Fossil Day to promote the safety, knowledge, and exploration of the past, along with the scientific and informative importance of fossils.
